We need powerful vision and advocacy to shape a Council that is ready for the unprecedented planning, transport and population pressures we face. I will place the beauty of our city and its sustainability, diversity and social justice at the heart of the new Council you elect.

invest in people

Advocate strongly for additional government investment in local schools and public transport
Grow Council and community based child care services
Support our great youth and local sports clubs in South Melbourne and St Kilda
Encourage local live music
Invest in local theatres, galleries and art spaces
Attract the State Government funded Pride Centre to Port Phillip
Provide strong support for the Port Phillip Housing Trust, ensuring our community is a place for everyone

hold onto our beautiful city

Protect the village ethos of Middle Park and Albert Park
Develop a comprehensive plan to re-vitalise Fitzroy and Acland Streets with attractive retailers and culture --not just new street beautification
Treasure our historic streetscapes as our city grows
Deliver a beautiful cultural asset on the St Kilda Triangle site. Reject mediocrity, take time to get it right
Rescue St Kilda Junction from its planning nightmare
Bring back Brookes Jetty
Care for our precious foreshore’s public views and spaces

Promote composting, grey water recycling, rain water collection, solar energy and energy efficiency programs to residents and businesses
Introduce a green waste household bin program
Power South Melbourne Market with its own solar panel roof array
Achieve zero emissions from Council assets and buildings by 2020
Fight for a Fishermans Bend with mixed density, inclusionary zoning, new infrastructure investment and design for a real city with living soul
Challenge the dominant model of skyscrapers, with their stacked, gated communities
